During a tense Chennai Super Kings chase of 174, an RCB fangirl went down on her knees and proposed to her boyfriend who had also accompanied her to the Stadium for the much-anticipated clash between the two Southern rivals. The girl was spotted on the television camera pulling out a ring and proposing to her boyfriend.
As the clip was played on the big screen, the attention shifted momentarily towards the couple. In fact, the man said ‘yes’ to the proposal following which a group of RCB fans at the stands in the MCA Stadium celebrated the heartwarming moment with cheers and applause.
Jaffer highlighted that the girl came up with a smart move, proposing to an RCB fan considering his ‘tried and tested’ quality of being loyal.
“Smart girl proposing an RCB fan. If he can stay loyal to RCB, he can definitely stay loyal to his partner,” Jaffer wrote on social media sharing a screengrab of the proposal.

Despite not achieving success on the field, Royal Challengers Bangalore are one of the most-followed franchises in the history of the Indian Premier League. Fans turn up in huge numbers to back the side at M Chinnaswamy Stadium year after year despite mixed results.
Incidentally, RCB went on beat their arch-rivals Chennai Super KIngs by 13 runs to end a 5-match losing streak against MS Dhoni’s men.
Riding on quickfire knocks from captain Faf du Plessis and young Mahipal Lomror, RCB posted 173 on the board following which Glenn Maxwell shone with the ball, picking up 2 crucial wickets. Harshal Patel shone at the death, picking up 3/36 while Josh Hazlewood got the big wicket of Dhoni as CSK fell well short of the target.
RCB moved to the 4th spot in the points table, taking their tally to 12 points from 11 matches as they kept their chances of reaching the play-offs alive.
