Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) need to secure a win to have any chance of qualifying for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 playoffs.
- RCB are currently placed 3rd in the points table
- RCB lost their previous game to PBKS by 54 runs
- The Titans have already qualified for the playoffs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are in a precarious position in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Having won seven out of 13 matches, Faf du Plessis and Co. are currently placed fifth in the points table. However, their net run rate of -0.323 isn’t among the best by any stretch of the imagination.
If Delhi Capitals (DC) beat the Mumbai Indians (MI) in their last league game on May 21, then there’s a good chance for RCB to get knocked out of the tournament. The 54-run loss at the hands of Mayank Agarwal’s Punjab Kings (PBKS) may not keep them in a positive frame of mind.
The Gujarat Titans (GT), led by Hardik Pandya, have thus far been the standout team in the T20 league. Having already secured victories in 10 out of 13 matches, Pandya and Co. have confirmed their berth in the top two. They defeated the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by seven wickets in their previous game.
Earlier, GT defeated the Challengers by six wickets when the two teams locked horns at the Brabourne Stadium. David Miller and Rahul Tewatia’s brilliance took the Titans over the finish line.

David Miller (GT): David Miller has played a crucial part for the Titans in the ongoing T20 league. Batting in the middle order, the southpaw has played quite a few knocks of substance. In 13 matches, Miller has scored 347 runs at an average of 57.83 and a strike rate of 136.07 with a top score of 94*.
